Our Roots Run Deep

Train and I didn't start out as florists. He worked at a children's hospital, and I was a classroom teacher. However, like many beautiful things in life, our flower business bloomed from something much deeper – our love for each other, our children, and the rich soil beneath our feet.

Growing up in small towns in Mississippi and Tennessee, we learned early that good things take time to grow. When we moved to North Carolina, we discovered what we now call our "insanely ridiculous love for gardening." What started as a small garden quickly expanded. Before we knew it, we were helping neighbors create their own garden spaces from scratch.

Where Love and Flowers Meet

The name "Magnolia Blooms" holds special meaning for us. We were married in the chapel at Mississippi State University, where our love officially bloomed. The magnolia, Mississippi's state flower, represents the beauty that comes from deep roots and patient growth – values we bring to every arrangement we create.

My mom truly inspired our flower business. In her final years, our shared gardening experiences brought us incredible joy. We even created seasonal garden installations at her nursing home, bringing beauty and nature to residents who couldn't venture outside. Hours before she passed, I promised her I would always plant flowers in her honor. Today, every stem we cut and every bouquet we design carries that promise forward.

What makes Magnolia Blooms different? We grow a large portion of our own flowers right here in Holly Springs. We source the rest from local, women-owned flower farms across North Carolina.
